Friends of Fiji Heart Foundation

Friends of Fiji Heart Foundation is now into its 6th year of open heart surgery mission for the poor and needy people of Fiji. Through the generosity of individuals, businesses and the Ministry of Health of Fiji, we continue to help the sick and poor. Over the years we have received financial help from people in New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, Canada and the United States. I am extremely proud to say that Friends of Fiji Heart Foundation has zero administration cost and every cent donated is used for medical treatment in Fiji. So far we have provided in excess of five million dollars worth of free medical treatment to the people of Fiji.

The FOFHF Trust was founded in 2006 by former Fiji citizens now living in New Zealand. All trustees have worked hard and with full dedication. I admire their commitment and passion to help this special group of people with valvular heart disease.Without the open heart surgery many of these patients would have not survived very long. With the heart valve replacement surgery they get another 15-20 years of quality and productive life. The team goes to Fiji once a year and through the generosity of people and grace of God we have been able to make this possible year after year.
